 Old story, so not really looking for any advice. It has been really helping me work through all of the crap my Im a spoiled truckers wife its my husband shirt has put us through by writing it all out. It’s my own personal therapy and reminder to not give her an inch. After the recent holiday fiascos involving the in laws and even my own well meaning yet sometimes overbearing mother. I realized how much I enjoyed getting to just be at home and play with my sons on the weekends without having to deal with anyone else. It was so nice, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted and like I can breathe again. I really do hate the holdidays.

Just a girl who loves pigs shirt

 This was maybe a month before the hotel room agreement was put in place (you can read about Just a girl who loves pigs shirt that shit show if you would like). The in laws reached out to us asking what our plans were for that weekend. Without thinking DH told them our plans and they offered up their guest room to stay in so we wouldn’t have to spend money on a hotel. He told them he would check with me. I know, hes putting any blame on me by doing this but he was a work in progress at the time. I tell him I guess that’s fine, we could save some money this way and DS1 could see his grandparents. I agree, clearly not thinking it through.

DH said it was up to me and then they all stared at me. I was caught off guard and flustered. So I caved and said we could go to the Reptile Farm. His parents were happy.
