Here’s another interesting observation. Some of the earlier commenters I debated with were saying that by posting this Tennessee Volunteers Rocky Top shirt I was making more competition for myself. More people would learn how to cherry pick good orders and I’d make less. That’s such a selfish view of this economic space. What we really should be driving is education, organization, and boycotting of shit orders. We already have unified against Walmart orders enough to force base pay increases there and (per a media article I read) DoorDash and Walmart are being forced to renegotiate their contract to display tips in advance. So every one of the dashers who says we can’t make a difference or can’t organize or it’s too difficult – we already have proof that we can. Get on board with thinking about more than just yourself and you will end up helping yourself in the end.
