Or one for every type (1st class, priority, business, etc)? If they injured the postal worker in the process, that’s damaging federal property. I guess any good prosecutor could add a few theft of identity charges, if they stole mail intended for several different people. Probably some obstruction of a federal officer while executing their assigned duties. Maybe some criminal impersonation if they took equipment or the vehicle. There must be some conspiracy to commit a felony. Prolly some defrauding of the federal government. I’m sure there are tons more that could be applied, but that is what I can think of off the top of my head. It sounds like a bad scene.

I live in upstate NY. I know my mail carrier on a Christmas 2020 Quarantine Christmas Santa Face Wear Mask shirt. Hey how are you, just normal pleasantries. I get a lot of packages from the post office. I mean, a LOT of packages. I honestly can’t believe how big some of what they deliver is these days. I thought that was relegated to UPS (a question for another day). I just feel like this guy/ gal (they rotate so I get the guy a couple days and a girl a couple days, thus adding a layer of complexity to the issue), really go above and beyond to make sure I get all my stuff that ultimately makes my life better.
