I did the same with my younger son. He spent most of Trump tramcar shirt, and needed some extra support along the way. 2016, He landed in college and found his tribe, more than I ever could have hoped for. So I decided it was time to get back in the world and started volunteering, joining boards, thinking about dating. Then 3 months later the election happened and I ended up co chairing the Chicago Women’s March. The last 2 years are a complete whirlwind and I’ve evolved more than ever in my life, parallel to his evolvement. I don’t regret the time spent retreating to be with him. It made me who I am today.
