I’ve had this exact thing multiple times. One lady asked for “Facebook, but people have to pay to Baby Yoda and Stitch snack time shirt, and couldn’t understand a) why that was a terrible idea and b) why it would cost more than a couple grand to make. Another time I had to convince a guy with a “million dollar idea” why his screen mockups were not the same thing as a brief and he was flabbergasted that I wouldn’t work for capital. On his website with no projected income, a vague customer base and no brief. And I’m the one that didn’t understand business.
